Welcome to the world's most unique Indian pageant

September 10 - 13, 2008

Since 1916 the Happy Canyon Night Show has thrilled audiences and become the world's most unique Indian Pageant. Every year over 500 volunteers come together to portray the culture and traditions of local tribes, the coming of Lewis and Clark and the Oregon Trail pioneers, concluding with the fast action of a frontier town. We invite you to join us in the tradition and history of Happy Canyon, where the Old West lives on!

She currently attends Pendleton High School and has a 3.14 GPA.  After graduation she plans on attending college in Texas, eventually leading to work in a hospital.

Tyera Pete is the 16-year old daughter of Celeste Reeves and Kirby Pete of Pendleton, and is a member of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation.  Her Indian name is Nanibah.  Tyera has participated in many roles in the Happy Canyon Night Show, from being brought in on a cradle board at the age of 5 months to today, where she enjoys participating in scenes that involve riding.  Tyera’s interests include breaking and training horses, barrel racing, roping, drawing, beadworking, and participating in traditional activities.

She currently attends Pendleton High School and plans to attend Oklahoma State University upon graduation.  After school she hopes to pursue a degree in equine science.
