Arena Roof Project
In 2005, with the help of generous donations of $22,500 from the
Pendleton Foundation Trust, $20,000 from the Wildhorse Foundation,
and $176,000 of Happy Canyon Foundation capital reserve funds the 50
year old roof of the Happy Canyon Arena was removed. Over time the
structure of the roof had deteriorated to the point where it had
become a safety concern. Immediately after removal the Happy Canyon
Board of Directors and the Happy Canyon Foundation Board of
Directors embarked on an ambitious fundraising project with the goal
of replacing the roof and upgrading concession and restroom
facilities at the arena. The Board goal is to have funding in place
during 2008 and complete improvements in time for the 2009 Pageant.
